”A movie in the making.....This book was written for the big screen! - September 26, 2018
R.I. was such an enjoyable read, I could not put it down! My apparent passion for this book caused my husband to not want to miss out on the fun! We both agreed, the characters were so dynamic & intense, it is easy to imagine them in a movie! I cannot wait to see what happens next with this amazing new author, and her vibrant characters.

What a Roller Coaster Ride!! - October 2, 2018
This book really has the reader on their toes from start to finish. Dr. Olivia Maxwell is truly a feline with multiple lives, who gets way with murder every time. I appreciate this author’s writing style, which draws you in immediately and presents what you perceive to be a predictable ride. But then, just when you think you know what is about to happen, she takes you on unexpected roller coaster twists and turns.

The book was definitely a page turner. It dealt with colorism, mental health, eating disorders, dysfunctional families and infidelity. It demonstrated how if you don’t acknowledge and get help for your mental health, it can spiral out of control quickly. It showed how a person can appear to have it all together but on the inside, they are damaged goods. It exhibited the love and support of a true friend. I Highly recommend this book.

New author Cynthia Freeman Gibbs has done an amazing job with her first novel. If I didn’t know better, I would swear she’s been writing for over 20 years.

A gripping story - March 24, 2020
I had a hard time putting this book down. It kept me glued to see what Olivia would do next. I like veld how the first chapter leaves you hanging and you have to read the entire book to find out what happened. I recommend this book to everyone.

Cynthia Gibbs’s first novel is a powerful exploration of a driven Black woman’s complicated mind. - August 11, 2020
This book kept the reader wondering what Olivia was going to do next! If you’ve seen Bill Duke’s “Black Girls” series, you could relate even more. The important role a parent plays in the outcome of one’s life is subliminally displayed in this story. Friends! Everyone has to have one! What would Olivia do without Savvy! Men, please take out your pens as you read and take note of what NOT to do in relationships. Find that good guy in the story and model your behavior after hm! REASONABLE INSANITY is a very good read that explores topics such as eating disorders, colorism, mental health and mommy issues. You will find yourself wanting to read more.
